In order to increase sales revenue, and given the premium positioning of the brand - preventing us to fall in the widely-spread marketing trick of discounts and promotions - I was required to come up with several proposals to keep available all year long.
If gift cards are not brand-new idea, we explored together with the in-house designer design-solutions for Farine gift cards to highlight brand premiumness. We finally opted for a 11-cm square format, thick and rigid off-white paper with our logo printed in silver metalic-foil. A printing method lowering in elegance the risk of copies.
Promoted among our corporate clients, they were to be offered to their VIPs or as an employees Chinese New Year gift and generated in 2016 more than 130K CNY.
We also launched a few set offers in order to boost average basket value, with emblematic products from French breakfast, with the long term vision to features these unique-in-Shanghai offers on our future delivery service list.
