If obviously not a professional designer, I quickly realized our in-house designer would be more efficient if focused on key visuals creation and creative thinking.
I therefore learnt using Photoshop and Illustrator softwares so he would create designs for one given material, and I could autonomously adapt layout, format, lighting and resolution upon my various needs (social media cover and profile pics, print or web invitations, online banners, print flyers, etc.)
Besides saving time it also facilitated a lot our collaboration as I would know what can and cannot be achieved through either one or the other software and within which realistic deadlines.
